About the project
I worked alongside an IA to design wireframes and comps for a learning portal for IHG employees. The portal would serve as a place for employees to get answers to common questions they may have, take training courses assigned to them and access useful tools for their job.
Design Process
We used IHG's existing style guide to drive the site's aesthetic. My team and I held several on site workshops to help IHG's team discover the features that would have the most impact in the short period we had to design the portal.
I partnered with the IA to create the wireframes in Axure since the site had some data heavy elements that we wanted to prototype with real numbers and calculations.
The education part of the website featured an illustration and hotspots featuring different parts of the business and links for the user to learn more about them. I made sketches for these concepts in Photoshop and the team and client gave feedback on what elements they wanted to feature.
Once those were complete we used Photoshop and Illustrator for the final designs.

By adding game elements, it makes the experience fun and helpful. The site included scenes of different locations within the company that included animated hotspot interaction on the site. I created these illustrations in were created in Illustrator.
