About the Project
Our team wanted to showcase new features of this Point of Sale software, so we opted for a fullscreen takeover on the tablet upon start up of the app after a major update to command the attention of the user.

Requirements and Research
Since it was a pretty brief project with a tight turnaround I met with key stakeholders (project owners, managers etc.) to gather requirements, which was essentially a quick way to let our existing customers know about new features to the POS product.

Ideation
The UI was going to be pretty straight forward (we already had an established design system to follow) with some annotations on a screenshot highlighting the feature. There was an opportunity for exploration in the illustrations needed for one of the features though, so I set out mocking up some sketches on my iPad and presenting them to the team. The illustration below was the result.
